Whats it About According to GoodReads:
At the King’s request, chieftain Alasdair MacDonald has sworn to preserve the peace in the Glen of Many Legends. Though he’s handsome and fearless, his warrior’s heart belongs only to his beloved land-until the fair sister of his oldest enemy shatters his defenses, branding his skin with a single touch, and sealing his fate with one stolen kiss . . .
Lady Marjory Mackintosh will do anything to unite the warring clans, even seduce Alasdair MacDonald. She has loved the rugged Highlander since she first saw him and now, as temptation leads to surrender, Marjory dares to possess him, body and soul. But a dangerous new menace enters the Glen, and he will stop at nothing to strip Alasdair of his honor-and the only woman who can claim his heart.
What I Thought: I really tried to like Seduction of A Highlander but for some reason I couldn’t get into it. I pushed myself to even reach my limit before I allow myself to put the book down. The issues I had was that within the first 5 chapters there was just too much thrown at me in such a short space of time. I knew that Marjory had a thing for Alasdair, but couldn’t figure out why. I also knew that he wanted her but because of some clan fight with her brothers clan he couldn’t quite go after her. Then there was something about some ghost of the original MacDonald and a dream that Marjory had that I thought was ghosts and some other things. I just couldn’t quite grasp the characters the way that I wanted or the way I normally do in books like this.
The one thing I do have to comment on is that even though this is the third book in a series it doesn’t read like it is. There is a little mention of the other books in the series but they don’t play too big of a part in Seduction of A Highlander, at least that I could see.
Do I Recommend: Honestly, I think that if you are a huge fan of Scottish romance then this book would be a book for you. As I mentioned earlier it also works as a stand alone. So yes.
Other Books in this Series:
Sins of a Highland Devil
Temptation of a Highland Scoundrel
Seduction of a Highland Warrior

Jessica – Thank you for taking the time to read my book and post your opinion.
Good luck to everyone in the drawing.
SEW books are lovely to those who adore Highland romance. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it. Those of us who have read the rest of the series have really been anticipating this one.
I had difficulty with giving you my mailing address on your rafflecopter form…I can give you my address from your email to me if I win. I am Lenna Hendershott.
Carol L – Thanks for stopping by!
Sue-Ellen – Thanks for stopping by! While I didn’t like the book my grams said she’s loving it, so I’m going to try and get her to write up a review for me to post here
Glittergirl – Ugh, I’m sorry for the problems with Rofflecopter. I’m gonna try to go back and read some of Sue Ellen’s earlier books, my grandma likes this book so far so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get into her earlier books.
Goodness, I have read Seduction of A Highland Warrior and I had no problem what so ever falling into this book and loving it. But I have had that happen with two other books I have read from two other different writers, but I have enjoyed most of their other books they have written. I have also not been able to get into a book and had to put it down for awhile and come back to it later and restart it. I loved SoAHW and I have loved everything Sue-Ellen has written. Have you read any of her other works or her titles under her other pen name Allie Mackay, perhaps you’ll enjoy them. Of course there are those times when a author and reader just donna mesh. I do appreciate your honesty and how as a good bloger/reviewer you let your followers know that while you did not enjoy the read they may still enjoy it.

Z – I haven’t read anything else she has written, but am interested in picking up other books by her to see if it was just a one shot thing of me not liking the book or what it is. I will check out Sue-Ellen’s other pen name and see if maybe that works for me a little bit better
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Sue-Ellen’s books. They are wonderful and fun books, so I hope you will give them another chance. Thanks for the giveaways!
Thank you for the giveaway.
I sometimes find Rafflecopter confusing to use. You are brave to set it up.
Jess, thank you for hosting Sue-Ellen today.
I am a sucker for Scottish Highland romances, and Sue-Ellen. So I can’t wait to check out her newest book. But not every book is for everyone. I do think that although this is a stand alone if you check out the previous books you get backstory on these main characters, I enjoy seeing HEA’s for characters that you meet in book one.
But a nicely written review, well done with it even though it wasn’t a fave.
I really liked this book. It was a good ending to the trilogy. Thank you for a chance at getting the free books.
Jess, Devil In A Kilt was her first and I fell instantly in love with her writing and Duncan and Linnet, the couple in the book. Maybe give that one a try. Her Allie MacKay books are a joy to read with tons of laughter in them. It’s modern woman falling for medieval men. Very funny secondary characters too.
The more I hear about this book the more I want to read it. Thanks for the review and a chance at a great story!
I am a huge Sue-Ellen fan and also a huge Scots fan. I will not have the same review that you did for this book. But you are certainly entitled to your comments. I hope I win both books. I would hate for you to have to keep them. LOL
Happy Valentine’s day and thanks for this give away.
Helen in Ark.

Have not read any of Sue-Ellen Welfonder’s books before but this book sounds interesting! Will definitely look into it! =D
I think for many of us who have been reading this sub-genre for a while, we automatically tune in to the cultural and period nuances without thinking about it. To someone who doesn’t read these often, it can be confusing. Medieval Highland romances were the first romances I ever read. I was already familiar with the history and culture of the Highlands, so there wasn’t much of an adjustment.
I am still in the sampling stage of paranormal fiction and am having an adjustment period. It is very different from what I am used to and there is such a wide variety of worlds, creatures, and rules. I can see where someone unfamiliar with medieval Highland fiction would have the same problem.
Thanks for the review and your honest opinion. Not everyone can be expected to like every book.
Good recommendation. I like highlanders.
